Sommeren 2008 vil være præget af Batman – The Dark Knight da den med stor sandsynlighed bliver et kæmpe blockbuster hit.
Filmen introducerer Jokeren som vi kender fra de første batman film hvor Jack Nicholson spillede rollen. Denne gang er det den yngre Heath Ledger som vi kender bedst fra Brokeback Mountain og A Knight’s Tale.
Batman kommer til at arbejde sammen med Lieutenant Jim Gordon om at bekæmpe det onde. De ved dog ikke at kaos er på vej i form af “The Joker”
